Really, they are every where, so noisy too. Not that that’s a bad thing.
I’ve been painting again, some bird silhouettes, it’s been really helpful them flitting around in the sun. Lots of inspiration and useful examples.
I also snapped a quick picture of Charlie and her wee pal relaxing in the sunshine.
They don’t like being outside unless they have human company but still want to lie in the sun, this half in half out solution seems to work quite well.

On Friday I spent the day helping out at the primary school where my mum works. They were having a “Green Day”, they had a fair with lots of fun activities for the kids (I was roped into painting faces) and afterwards all the kids spend the rest of the day in the school gardens planting and learning about the environment. Lots of fun was had by all.
Aside from painting creepy crawlies/flowers on the faces of dozens of children, my creative activity of the day was more necklace making!

Wow, the hot sunny weather just doesn’t seem to be going away!
It has distracted me a bit from blogging though, but I’m sure I can be forgiven as I’ve still been making pretty things.

They were prizes for a eco/green themed raffle at the school my mum works at.

Recently lots of my paintings and other creative projects have been a bit brighter and child friendly, lots of robots, dinosaurs, coloured beads, fun things. They are fun to create and I guess it reflects whats on my mind just now. I’ve been spending lots of time with my lovely wee cousin. She’s six, she’s fun. She likes beads and flowers and robots and dinosaurs. She is waiting very patiently for her new little brother to be born and we’re all hoping he’ll be healthy.
I like brightening her day with my creations.

That’s what it seems like anyway, three days of sunshine and warmth in a row? In Scotland? This time last week there were sudden downpours and hailstones bouncing everywhere.
