I graduated! Also I’m still alive. I’ll blog more when I’m less crazy busy.x

I’m back from my long weekend away with the family, we had a great time celebrating all the significant birthdays and anniversaries.

I’m very lucky to have such a large and close family and I love every one of them. There were seventeen of us away (two couldn’t make it unfortunately) so there was lots going on, lots of catching up and enjoying each others company.

I managed to do a little painting and necklace making while I was away. I also took lots of pictures.

Here are some of the pictures (all taken in and around Pitlochry, Scotland) ;

(This one was actually taken by my mum)

(This last one was the view from the window in my room, it was very pretty.)

I’ll do another post soon catching up all my creative bits and pieces, I think that’s enough for just now.

On Friday I spent the day helping out at the primary school where my mum works. They were having a “Green Day”, they had a fair with lots of fun activities for the kids (I was roped into painting faces) and afterwards all the kids spend the rest of the day in the school gardens planting and learning about the environment. Lots of fun was had by all.

Aside from painting creepy crawlies/flowers on the faces of dozens of children, my creative activity of the day was more necklace making!

Some nice long ones;

I also took a few pictures when I was out walking the hound with Wee Bro;

It’s a lovely day today!

Here is yesterdays painting;

And here’s some pictures I took today in the garden;

I’m off to enjoy the sunshine!

A rather nasty migraine yesterday kept me away from my trusty laptop all day, so here is the post I intended to write.

On Monday – taking advantage of the bank holiday – I went a wee trip up to Dundee with the parents, followed by a jaunt to Newport-on-Tay and a short adventure out to Balmerino Abbey. It was nice enough, the weather wasn’t always ideal but that’s to be expected from Scottish weather. I decided to take a few pictures at the Abbey as my” creative thingy of the day”. So, here they are.

I’d like to visit again with my other camera when the weather is better.

On the way home I stopped to take a picture of this guy, he seemed a friendly sort.

Every year some time in the week after Christmas my dads side of the family go on a trip to the beach together, despite the freezing weather. We all head out to Kinshaldy beach (next to Tentsmuir Forest in Fife) and go a long walk along the beach, fulled by hot soup and tea. Afterwards we go back to my grandparents house to warm up, spend some more time together  and usually order take away food.

This year my youngest cousin spent most of the walk gathering shells which I helped her wash at our grandparents house, afterwards she very kindly presented me with her favorite shell in thanks for my help.

The shell has sat on a shelf since the end of December.

I’ve been spending a lot more time with my youngest cousin recently, she’s very clever and sweet. She talks a lot about how much she enjoys gathering shells, she often brings out her collection to show me and offers to share them with me.

Yesterday I decided to take the shell down from the shelf and add it to a wee necklace as a gift for her.

I think she’ll like it.

I went a lovely walk at the beach yesterday with Charlie and the parents. I decided to take a few photo’s and have that be my “creative thing” of the day. The walk was really nice though a little chilly.

Charlie loves the beach and it’s always useful to have her jacket on when we go, so she doesn’t disappear amidst the sand.
